| Anthony Hopkins did a stellar job as always while Colin O'Donoghue charmed us with his rebel attitude and dreamy eyes. However, I would have liked to have seen more development in Alice Braga's character. | |

| Though the theme of exorcism has been somewhat covered before in other movies The Rite tries to delve a little deeper. It succeeds by adding a dash of humor into the horror/chills category and it definitely provides unexpected surprises. It is 1 star away from 5 only because I was not happy with the ending. | |

| The majority of the movie takes place in Rome. We only get a few glimpses of the beautiful city but it is well worth it. | |
