Barbie – The Princess & The Popstar
Barbie dolls have been a household name for over 50 years and many young girls continue to this day to play with these fashionable dolls. In addition to the dolls, there is also an extended line of DVDs and other Barbie products. My daughter who is a big fan of Barbie is always so excited when there is a new Barbie doll or DVD available in the stores. So when I recently received Barbie – The Princess & The Popstar dolls and DVD to review, my daughter was over the moon.
Together we opened the box and she literally squealed with excitement when she saw what was inside. There was Princess Tori and Popstar Keira, both dolls from Barbie - The Princess & The Popstar toy line. I immediately gave the dolls to my daughter who couldn’t wait to play with them and then together we sat and watched the movie.
What a fun musical adventure the movie Barbie - The Princess & The Popstar was to watch. Tori and Kiera discovered that they have a lot in common and decide to switch places. With their magical brush and magical microphone they change themselves to look like the other. At first it seems like lots of fun living the other persons life but what they soon start to realize is that the grass is not always greener on the other side. The movie had an easy storyline for my daughter to follow and she loved all the fun songs, dances and beautiful dresses that they wore.
After the movie I sat with my daughter and we played with her new dolls. The coolest feature on the dolls was they way they transformed from Rockin’ Popstar to Royal Princess with one easy spin. By twisting the top of the head you can change the color of their hair from pink to blonde or purple to brown. Their dresses changed from a gown to a fun playful rockin’ skirt. My daughter’s favorite feature was when you pressed their necklace and they sang songs from the movie. She absolutely adored her new Barbie’s. She couldn’t wait to bring them into school for show-n-tell.
Barbie - The Princess & The Popstar dolls and dvd can be purchased at your nearest toy retailer. It is a great gift for birthdays and for the upcoming holidays. Go ahead and add it you your list and put a smile on your princess’s face.
