Fist Pump Your Way to The View!
Did you all catch last Tuesday’s The View with the cast of The Jersey Shore? All I can say is the look of disgust on Joy Behar’s face was priceless! Now I have to admit my guilty pleasure is watching The Jersey Shore so when I found out they would be on I was way excited – sad, I know. Now I knew Joy would be tough on them but I was actually a little disappointed in how she treated them. I understand some of her reasoning – you’ll have to watch here to see what I’m referring to – but I thought she was just a little too harsh. I mean seriously these kids are still young and naïve. Are they the best role models? No. But umm…last I checked when I was in my twenties, neither was I.
And as the group unanimously stated they did not represent all Italian Americans or the whole population of the Jersey Shore. They merely represented themselves, warts and all. But Whoopi did have a point in asking them what their plans were for the future and they all looked at her with blank stares. The only one to answer was The Situation – Mike – and his answer was very vague. I hope they don’t think this fame will last forever! I felt that Joy and Whoopi could have been nicer/easier on the cast – towards the end they tried to lighten up a little – but Sherri and Elisabeth cracked me up! They were totally on Team Jersery Shore – yay! Here’s hoping that The View welcomes The Jersey Shore cast back onto the show. I love me some fist pumpin’!
And don’t forget to watch tomorrow’s episode “Road to the Oscars” with former Oscar nominee Don Cheadle and Wesley Snipes. Also “Fashion Friday” celebrates “The History of Oscar Fashions” with a two-part look back at some of the most memorable Oscar hits and misses, with host and celebrity stylist Robert Verdi. Hosts of “At the Movies” Michael Phillips and Tony Scott will also be on set to unveil their 2010 Oscar predictions. So be sure to watch and come back here to tell me what you thought!
With all my mamí love,
Jennifer

I think I must be the only person in America who hasn’t watched Jersey Shore. I’ve seen several clips of the show and it all looks very chaotic. I can only imagine Joy’s facial expressions. She is hilarious.
