Disney on Ice - Worlds of Fantasy Charlotte, NC

Submitted by on 10/11/2025 – 7:21 amNo Comment

Uptown Charlotte was bustling with excitement as children awaited the opening night of Disney on Ice - Worlds of Fantasy tour at the Time Warner Cable Arena. My daughter and I got ourselves situated in our seats and we couldn’t wait for some Disney magic to begin. The show kicked off with our favorite friends from Cars. Lighting McQueen, Mater and the crew entered the ice arena and the crowd cheered with excitement. Seeing all the Cars characters come to life was so much fun to watch.

Next up, was my daughter’s favorite princess - Ariel from The Little Mermaid. Ariel showed us all what makes her such a beautiful princess by her grace and lovely voice. Ariel was joined by Flounder, the evil Ursula and her handsome Prince Eric. The undersea kingdom came to life and their routines on the ice were flawless.

And of course, Disney magic cannot happen without our beloved characters - Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy joining in as emcees. Tinkerbell soon followed with all the fairies and a grand entrance by Queen Clarion ruler of Pixie Hollow. The story of how Tinkerbell became a fairy by bringing Spring time to the world was told and the arena was full of beautiful colorful flowers.

After a short intermission and purchasing some fun souvenirs, we got ready for the final performance. The green army men strutted their military moves on the ice in perfect formation and the story of Toy Story 3 began. The fun adventures of Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, Barbie, Ken and the rest of the gang had everyone in stitches and at the edge of their seat. At the finale of the show, we got to say goodbye to all our favorite Disney friends. We left with smiles on our faces because Disney and Feld Productions had brought a little magic to Charlotte, NC.

My daughter had a great time but she had wished for some more princesses to make an appearance. The show was about a little over two hours in length and there is one intermission. I highly recommend that you bring a warm jacket or sweater because it is chilly in the arena. They have adorable souvenirs ranging from $10 - $30 depending on your budget. Bring your camera and have fun taking family pictures. There is also an area for a fee where you can have your child’s picture taken with a character themed background.
