“Growing Hope Against Hunger” Brings Elmo to Atlanta For Meet & Greet!

Submitted by on 10/03/2026 – 9:26 amOne Comment

If you were like me when you were growing up you couldn’t wait to get to Sesame Street. And now as a mommy or daddy you STILL can’t wait to get there! Lol!

My family and I love everything about the show and its characters. I still love to watch with Shaunsito who is definitely a Sesame Street kid. Sadly, we no longer live in New York and Sesame Street in Pennsylvania is a bit far for us right now so we will wait until next year to hopefully get there. Until then we are so proud to live around Atlanta because that’s where GPB (Georgia Public Broadcasting) brings us our favorite kids shows through PBS Kids. We love it!

And now you all get to share in our love for all that is Sesame Street, GPB, and PBS Kids. If you are in the Atlanta area you will love this chance to meet Elmo (Shaunsito’s favorite!) at the GPB Studios.

In this program, Elmo and Rosita meet Lily. Like many others, Lily’s family doesn’t always have enough to eat. Along with Brad Paisley and Kimberly Williams Paisley, the Sesame Street friends learn how to help.

Though this is a free event please bring at least one (1) canned food item per family member for a special meet and greet with Elmo.

Your donated canned goods will support the Atlanta Food Bank.

RSVP to this event by filling out this form.

When: October 8th, 2011

Where: GPB - 260 14th Street NW, Atlanta, GA 30318

Time: 10AM - 1PM
