Happy Birthday To Me
It is 27 minutes into my 35th Birthday. Yay me. Am I bummed that I’m getting older? Not really. Do I have any regrets? Nope. Do I wish I could be celebrating my 25th Birthday instead? Not on your life. Granted I’ve had a pretty interesting life and had fun in my 20′s, I still wouldn’t trade it in for my life now.
*Warning - Mushy mami stuff approaching!
I look down at my son sleeping and know that nothing compares to the love that I have for him. He is my gift. My Christmas, Birthday, Valentine’s, Mother’s Day, etc. gift, all wrapped up into this cute little peanut. He is the main reason why I am happy with who I am today and where I am in life. Everything that has happened in my life happened for a reason. For all those moments to lead up to this day, my 35th Birthday.
Today I will take a good look at my son, hold him close and know that it truly is a Happy Birthday To Me…because of him.
