When I think of summer fun I think back to playing in the backyard with my best friend Charlie, going to the pool with my summer camp, and just plain running around without a care in the world.     I loved playing outside with my friends then hearing the bells of the ice cream truck and taking off running home fast as I could to get money to buy a bombpop and soem fun dip.

    BTW, never had Ovaltine as a child but love it now, I just discovered it this past year, so yummy. I just went and bought a new canister and at first was confused no realizing they had more than one type, glad to know it’s new and I haven’t been missing out on the new recipes for long

    My favorite memories of childhood summer all involved outings, be it Beach, Theme Park, Pool, Zoo, Aquarium, Botanical Gardens, Baseball Games, we were always going somehwere, and that’s all the very reasons I still love summer now, is the fact that I’m always going somewhere, winter is long enough in NYC, as soon as the sun comes out, I’m GONE! LOL 🙂

    Sounds like you had a really fun childhood! I remember my childhood in New York too and the snow was fun when you were a kid but as an adult…aye dios mio! lol!

    One thing I remember most about my childhood is playing pretent school. I enjoyed being the teacher and my siblings would be the students. I remeber reading to them. We also had assingmets lol…and they even did them. We had fun times together.

    One of my favorite memories is bike riding all day with my friends and not coming home until dinner. Though it was common for me to hang out all summer with the other children on the block, I’m much more cautious with my son!
